Fall is Coming.....Time to Decorate

When is it the best time to start decorating for fall?

Fall officially begins on September 22, but depending on where you live, it might not feel like fall yet. While the outside might not reflect the season now, it’s not too early to start decorating for fall on the inside of your home. And transitioning from summer to fall decorations doesn’t have to be difficult.

I love decorating for fall. It’s such a fun time of year to bring lots of comfy, cozy items into your Home Decor. The smells of cinnamon, vanilla, and pumpkin fills the air.

How to transition from summer to fall decorations.

As summer is ending, look for simple changes you can make in your home to prepare for fall. Change out your colors to warm and cozy. This easy change can may your home feel more like fall. Once you’ve added fall colors to your home you’ll have a good starting point and can begin decorating with other seasonal items like pumpkins and other fall accents.

I decorate fall in two parts.

  1. In late August, I pull out on the fall decorations.

  2. In late September, I pull out the Halloween decorations.

My goal is to keep things simple. Once I have items I enjoy, I rarely buy new things. Whether you start the day after Labor Day, or you wait until it is officially fall, make sure you have fun with your décor!

Since I know that switching your decor from season to season can seem daunting, I’ve put together a super helpful fall decorating timeline that you can download for free! This timeline is broken down into four weeks. Start whenever you like!
